Saleh Anaam, an expert official guide in Morocco from southeast of Morocco owns Lovely Morocco Tours. Saleh and his family were one of the nomadic families living in the middle of The Sahara Desert until he was 12 years old. Livestock and selling fossils were the source of their income. Since there was not enough rain in the Sahara desert, the living conditions were difficult. Saleh’s parents decided to change from a nomadic lifestyle to settle down and create a village with other nomadic families with whom they lived in the desert; they began digging wells and farming. After about ten years of hard work farming, there was, once again, not enough water to farm anymore.

Saleh’s family decided to move to Merzouga, a small village that attracts many tourists traveling here to enjoy the Merzouga camel rides and get a taste of the desert life. They brought some camels and started organizing Sahara camel trips into the desert for one or more night stays. Saleh worked while he studied. Saleh worked hard to start a local company that allowed them to organize Moroccan trips nationwide, not just in the Sahara desert. While Saleh completed his studies, he started working as an official tour guide in Morocco at the Ministry of Tourism.

Saleh works as an expert official guide in Marrakech and provides support and work to the local Berber families from the desert area, and all over Morocco, not just the Sahara desert. Our 8-day trip to Morocco was amazing. We loved every second of it. We couldn’t have had such an amazing experience without our driver, Omar. He was so kind and friendly. He was there for us so quickly whenever we needed him. My wife even got very sick, he took us to the doctor and pharmacy. He even took us to some hidden beautiful places that were not in our itinerary. He knows the area so well. Omar was very respectful and understood us very well.
