3 Nights Morocco Camel Tour in Merzouga Desert Itinerary:

Day 1: Merzouga - 1-hour Camel Trek - Overnight at a wild camp

On the first day of our 3 nights camel trek in Merzouga desert. After you arrive at our hotel in Merzouga, you will leave your car at safe free parking if you have it and pack the necessary bags for the evenings in the desert. Our 3-night camel trek in the Merzouga desert will start in the late afternoon around 2 hours before sunset and take you right into the heart of the Sahara. The Merzouga camel trek takes about an hour and a half so you will have the chance to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets Morocco has to offer.

Try sandboarding if this is an activity you are interested in, during the trek you will take a break in the middle of the Sahara to take photos and admire the landscapes until the sun goes down. Then we’ll continue to the camp where you will be greeted with a glass of mint tea and relax until dinner time. After dinner, there will be some traditional Berber drumming music around the fire, enjoy the starry sky, and sleep at a wild Berber camp (dinner and breakfast are included).

Day 2: Camel Trek in the Sahara - Overnight with a nomadic family

On the second day of your 3-night Morocco camel trek, we recommend waking early to see the sunrise, it looks quite magical over the dunes! After eating breakfast we’ll trek for a couple of hours towards our next destination, stopping off on the way for a Moroccan lunch (included) will be served along with mint tea in the shade of a tree in the desert and you’ll have plenty of time to chill out and relax in the dunes. The second night will be spent at the home of a Berber Nomad family, eating traditional food, and understanding the Berber nomad way of living in the Sahara.

Day 3: Nomadic family - Camel Trekking - Standard desert camp

On the third day of our 3-night desert Merzouga camel tour, we will rise early to watch the sun come up followed by breakfast and continue your Merzouga camel tour into the Erg Chebbi desert to the other desert camp (luxury or standard). A Moroccan lunch in the middle of the Sahara (included) will be served along with mint tea in the shade of a tree in the Moroccan desert and you’ll have plenty of time to chill out and relax in the dunes. Having watched the sunset, the evening will consist of a tasty traditional meal and comfy beds for all. Dinner and breakfast at your Berber desert camp.

Day 4: Desert camp - Back to Merzouga Village
