Day 1: arrival in Tangier

Upon your arrival at Tangier airport, where your specialist driver will pick you up to start the 15 Days from Tangier to Marrakech Desert Trip, and part of the morning free to visit the city known as the Gate of Africa, one of the most vibrant, mysterious and interesting cities of Morocco, we will visit the caves of Hercules.

We will have a stop of 1h to know that beautiful town, then we will drive to the capital city, Rabat to see the beautiful yard of the royal palace, Chellah, Oudaya Kasbah a fortress and a citadel of the 12th century, the Hassan Tower built in 12th-century and the royal palace. Day 3: Rabat - Casablanca - Essaouira

Day 4: Essaouira - Marrakech

Day 5: Marrakech City Tour

Day 6: Marrakech – Ouzoud waterfalls

At 8 o’clock in the morning, we will pick up you from your riad or hotel to the Ouzoud waterfalls, one of the dramatically beautiful landscapes spread in the High Atlas Mountain and the highest falls in North Africa. 

It’s really majestic falls plunge 360 feet (110 meters) to the ground below and refreshing and rejuvenating sight. From Marrakech, it takes more or less 3 hours to arrive with a minibus or 4 × 4 towards the falls.

Along the way, marvel at the traditional towns and typical Berber villages of the Grand Atlas, and pass through the shade of ancient olive trees as you approach the waterfalls.
Upon arrival at the cascades to soak up nature. 

Look out for the resident monkeys, and take a swim in the crystal-clear waters. During our journey, we will have the opportunity to explore the countryside through traditional villages.

Day 7: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Valley Of Roses

The trip starts from your accommodation in Marrakech, crosses the high pass of Tizi N’Tichka (2160m) and continues through the Berber villages toKsar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, a  and a distinctive location for moviemakers, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO

Several foreign and local movies have been shot in the Kasbah, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy, etc. Once you get to kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou, you will tour the Kasbah and have lunch before you continue driving to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa where the Atlas Studios located and then on to Rose Valley where the first day of the trip terminates. Day 8: Valley of Roses – Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga

The well-known like the valley of the roses takes that name because it is where the damask rose is cultivated that serves as a base to manufacture natural cosmetic products. After breakfast we will leave for Merzouga to reach the Erg Chebbi desert, we will stop before in the Dades Valley and then we will also stop in the Todra Valley where we will hike through the gorges enjoying this wonderful canyon full of Berber villages and date palms. 

It is a site well known in Morocco for climbing enthusiasts. A spectacular landscape that will “make us fall in love” with this part of the Atlas. We will continue our route to Erfoud fossils area and the best quality of dates, all the way is full of charming villages until we reach our destination, the desert! Day 9: Merzouga desert journey and camel trekking

The day trip is divided into different parts in the golden desert. You will explore the desert dunes areas, by making a circuit in the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see how the Nomads live and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. 

we will visit the mines of the kohl (Mifis); we will be able to meet some nomadic families and take a break for Berber mint tea, visit Tissardmine, an area where the Dakar passed at the time that passed through Moroccan soil, we will finish the route in a place where we will taste food from the gastronomic tradition of nomads, then visit the village of Khamlia where we will have free for lunch “Berber Pizza” this village inhabited by black-skinned of Sudanese slaves, where you are going welcome by mint tea while enjoying some their traditional music. 

Next, you will go for a visit to the desert Lake where you will see several species of birds. In the afternoon you will go trekking on camels over the desert sand dunes. Day 10: Merzouga - Rissani Souk - Tinghras - Merzouga

You will be woken to enjoy the charm of the sunrise, and then ride your camel back to your driver, to start another trip. Rissani is the capital of the region of Tafilalet origin in the seventeenth century of the current dynasty in power, the Alaoui, the city has a great charm and is incredibly far from tourism which has facilitated it to maintain all the ancient flavor. She is the heiress of the ancient city of Sijilmassa, the capital history of Tafilalet, which came to have 20,000 h.

Today in ruins that are perfectly visible and visited, it was founded in the seventh century and was the capital of the first Muslim kingdom of Morocco. Caravan capital of the route that reached the Mediterranean from the other side of the Sahara. It was traded with slaves, gold, ivory, salt, weapons, and falls in the fifteenth century among other causes for the discovery of gold in America.

Three times a week an extraordinary market takes place in the city souk that brings together a large population from the surrounding area. Day 11: Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Azrou - Meknes

We will get up early so that after breakfast, we will take the vehicle that will take us in the direction of Meknes. We will pass through the town of Erfoud again, we will climb through the palm grove of Tafilalet where we will stop in the Ziz valley to contemplate a spectacular view, the canyon that houses the largest palm grove in Morocco, once the capital of the province is passed, Errachidia we will see the reservoir that irrigates the entire area, the Errachidia reservoir, then we will cross the High Atlas to reach the town of Medelt where we will have free time to eat lunch at noon, after lunch we will continue our route to Meknes visiting also the cedar forest in Azrou until reaching the city of Meknes. Day 12: Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

Depart after breakfast to the city of Fes. You will have free time to visit Meknes’s monuments, the city built by Moulay Ismail surrounded by ramparts, which is formed one of the imperial cities in Morocco, including the visit of Meknes’s monument; Moulay Ismail mausoleum, the green gate of Bab Mansour, and Lahdim Square. 

After lunch in a local restaurant on the road, our second stop will be, for the visit to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, crossing by fertile farmland and villages. In the afternoon we will complete our way, head straight to your accommodation in Fes, where you will spend your night.

Day 13: Fes - Medina - Fes

The Day trip dedicates to visiting the city of Fes, the oldest imperial city founded in the 8 century by Moulay Idriss II. The guided tour will start the trip by visiting the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and exploring the Medina’s narrow streets lined with local shops and stalls. With your local guide, you will discover the narrow streets and see the magic and charm of the old Medina wherever you look, the magic derives from many historical monuments, including Attarine Madrasas, Nejjarine Fountain, Al-Qarawiyyine University, the oldest university in the world founded in 859, Bou Inania Madrasa and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss.

Before you return to your accommodation, you will visit ‘Fes Al-Jdid’, the new city of Fes. After lunch in a local restaurant, before you return to your accommodation, you will experience the panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes before having a brief visit to the new part of the city “Fes Al Jadid” and experiencing the charm of this imperial city of Fes.  Then check in at the Riad in the evening.

Day 14: Fes - Chefchaouen (the blue city)

Departure early in the morning to the blue castle of Chefchaouen, possibly the most beautiful and charming town in the whole country while being the most Andalusian in Morocco, the only one with tile roofs. Driving of around 4 hours to reach Chefchaouen. Continuing we reach the forested slopes and lakes, which means that we are approaching the blue city. You will stay in a typical hotel and have the night off to explore a unique landscape.

Day 15: Chefchaouen - Tetouan - Tangier

After breakfast we will leave the blue town (Chefchaouen) towards Tangier without forgetting the beautiful city of Tetouan (Tittawin in Tamazight, the eyes in English) this medina is one of the most interesting in Morocco, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and incomprehensibly away from the tourist circuits. It has the nickname of the white dove or the daughter of Granada and after Chefchaouen is the most Andalusian of all Moroccan medina.

Between 1913 and 1956 Tetouan was the capital of the Spanish protectorate of Morocco. Since 1999, it has been the main summer residence of the Moroccan monarch Mohamed VI which has a palace in the nearby town of Rincon Of Mdiq. Then drop off you at the port/airport or riad/hotel.
